Rendezvous No. 97, South of Gulashir, Seventh Day of the Second Month
Lord Admiral,
It is with regret that I am obliged to to inform you that HMS Spitfire, second of two Packet Ships scheduled this moon, has missed its Rendezvous with Majestic by more than fortnight and is assumed lost or taken by the enemy.
There is no news of her either. Though the Winter Westerlies continue apace, we've not encountered single vessel bound from Varana's Capital since our last communication.
Please advise me of your futher orders.
