While the recognition is nice, Dasaria's position on the vault really has little to do with the quality of play here or the quality of the campaign design.
Many of Dasaria's returning players vote a 10 out of loyalty and good experiences from the first campaign, and the low scores seem more like sabotague than anything else. The way we rank compared to other PWs isn't that significant.
What matters is whether or not we, the community and staff, are happy with the environment we're creating.
I admit my bias: I've not ventured into any other NwN2 PW, but I don't see how a campaign could be any better than Dasaria. Given the immense challenges presented by the software, Dasaria's creators have accomplished an incredibly thoughtful campaign world with plenty of potential for excellent long-term play. I doubt I'll ever play elsewhere, simply because I'm not interested in exerting the effort. Popularity isn't very important.
There will always be players who log-in to Dasaria to attempt to recruit to other PWs, and there will always be players who rate the server low to draw vagabond player's attention to other campaigns. Sure, it's not very courteous, but a variety of PW choices is really a good thing for NwN2.
