  • The Cathedral of Tharon Quest has been moved to Ravenswatch to better fit upcoming events and properly making its home in our level 15-20 quest hub.
  • Divine spellcasters who violate the alignment restrictions of their class may find their powers restricted until they have atoned and restored their proper alignments. Your character serves their God, their God does not serve them.

Hmmm... Been a while since I've bumped this, a bunch of things have happened. Lessee... The Morrel 8-12 Quest Hub? The Ravenswatch Road? The Forest of Daris? Temple of Peralia? Tristan South? New Hill Giants? The Magnus Ruins?

Anyway, I suppose I should update this a little more often, here's what's going on:

  • You may now de-level your character, on your own, in-game, by visiting Samantha in the Temple of Nuarari in Cear, Trades and Commons. As per our normally policy when a DM de-levels you, the process is "one way" and to the bottom of your desired level. The Dasaria2 staff is not responsible for anything that goes terribly wrong when you do this, including the unintended invalidation of your character. We will be watching this closely and if this is found to be exploitable in any manner, it's gone.
  • Spell Resistance items became broken somewhere along the way. We've implemented a fix.
  • Chimp has submitted a number of new looks for the appearance changer
  • A bunch of exploits were closed down, and a number of others are now subject to logging. Be aware if that you are in the habit of doing something untoward, it might be being logged, and you will be penalized after-the-fact; So don't do it.
  • A number of changes in the Valley of the Two-Bridges, both Player-storyline and plot-driven
  • Fixed a condition where characters were becoming invalidated on death
  • Work continues on our upcoming high-level quest hub in Lendose and the battlefields of the West

  • You may now delete your own unwanted characters by visiting the Minister of the Blessed Gift at the Temple of Peralia in Two Bridges. As with the erstwhile staff-processed deletions with which you are already familiar, this is permanent.
  • The item appearance changer at Ironback Brothers' Smithy now works with exotic metals and items with charges... I'm reasonably certain.

  • A "new" quest for levels 6-8 has been made available, starting from Cear, Trades and Commons District.
  • A little bird mentioned to me that there was no loot in the Minotaur's Maze. It's been corrected.

Werewolves:

  • Werewolves will now be viewed as hostile by other PCs, guards, etc. while polymorphed, the sort of reaction you'd expect from a 7-foot-tall slathering-tongued monstrous humanoid.
  • Werewolves entering the server after a reset will be safely jumped to the EOS Spawnpoint.
  • When injured by a werewolf, PCs will be afforded a Fort save vs. Disease with a DC at the Werewolves' level. Paladins are immune.
  • The cure for Lycantropy remains Aconitum Tonic (wolfsbane). It must be administered while the infected PC is in 'human' form

Also thanks to everyone who's submitting custom items, especially Redleafe who's created a whole slew of things recently. We will get to these soon!

The much-maligned "hampster ball" visual effects have been removed. Many of the common "skin" effects have also been altered to a less-character-obscuring format.

  • A new quest and expansion area for levels 10-15 has been added to the Morell quest hub, originating in Morell
  • A variety of earrings are now available at Hobblescobble's Finery Trinkets: Activate to don, activate a second time to remove
  • Special thanks to Chemical Agent for his custom content cloak and shield submission

A new quest and dungeon for levels 12-17 are now open in the Tristan Village Quest Hub. The targeted level is 15 -- 12 is to allow a straggler or two into a party of more powerful characters.

You've waited a long time for this, haven't you? :D

Many thanks to Alterity, for his submission of more than 25 new magic items utilizing some of the new item models. Look for them in a loot pool coming soon!

  • New PRCs "Made Man" (FKA Shadow Thief of Amn) and "Imperial Academus" (FKA Red Wizard) will be made playable PRCs on the server. The Neverwinter Nine PRC will here-foward be known as "Warder"
  • The General Feat, "Swift and Silent" will be open to those characters that meet the Pre-requisite << not yet, apparently
  • If your multi-classed Favored Soul comes up invalid after the next server reset, please post here. I will make arrangements to get it back into action.
